Gulf Youth Summit 2025

Msheireb Museums has hosted the “Gulf Youth Summit 2025” two days from 11- 12 January 2025, organized by Qatar Debate, an initiative of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

The two-day summit at Bin Jelmood House in Msheireb Downtown Doha under the theme ‘New Dialogues and Insights’ provided a dialogue environment that brought together Gulf youth and experts to exchange ideas and discuss key issues such as sustainability, economy, innovation, and cultural identity preservation.

The events were attended by Gulf dignitaries, including Her Excellency Mrs. Lolwa bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education, His Excellency Mr. Yasser Al Jamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and a group of elites and decision-makers.
The closing session, titled ‘Our Cultural Identity in the Digital Age: Production between Media Diversity and Rich Heritage’, addressed ways to enhance Gulf cultural production while preserving identity and heritage, and featured Saad Al-Qahtani, presenter and content creator from Kuwait, Lian Abdul Shakour, founder and creative director of Mozoon from Saudi Arabia, and Fatima Al-Rumaihi, CEO of the Doha Film Institute

In his speech during the session, His Excellency Mr. Yasser Al Gamal said: “At the Ministry of Sports and Youth, we believe that youth are the pillar of the nation and the pillar of sustainable development, and from this standpoint, we are working hard to provide the appropriate environment that enables them to achieve their ambitions and develop their skills in various fields.”
He continued: “The challenges facing us today require us to cooperate and join hands, and work as one team to achieve our common goals, and through this summit, we hope that we can develop effective strategies that contribute to empowering youth and enhancing their role in society.”

The summit is an extension of Qatar Debate’s endeavors to enhance the role of Gulf youth, as it came after the success of the “Oasis of Dialogue” forum in the Sultanate of Oman, and the “Doha: Youth Edition” forum in 2024, to continue its role as an inspiring platform for Gulf and regional youth.
