Msheireb Museums inaugurates Sawaed Art Exhibition

Msheireb Museums inaugurated the “Sawaed” art exhibition on 10 June 2026 at Bin Jelmood House in Msheireb Downtown Doha, featuring the works of 13 Qatari and resident artists across video, painting, portraiture, and sculpture.

Organized in partnership with Al Markhiya Gallery, the exhibition celebrates the men and women whose pioneering efforts and visions have contributed to building and consolidating the foundations of modern Qatar, and the collective effort that has been the cornerstone of the country’s transformation.

Speaking at the opening, Mr. Abdulla Al Naama, Director General of Msheireb Museums, said that the exhibition “inspires an important narrative and celebrates the human being as the primary engine of art and progress.”

Al-Naama praised the participating artists who interacted with the idea of the exhibition, and presented contemporary works that enrich the dialogue about the value of work and human beings and their role in building societies. He pointed out that “Sawaed” represents an invitation to reflect on “the human story that contributed to building our homeland and the stability of the values that continue to inspire our present and future.”

The exhibition, which was organized under the supervision of Bashir Mohammed, includes the works of visual artists: Ahmed Noah, Ismail Azm, Amal Al-Atham, Hayan Munawar, Aisha Al-Sulaiti, Fatima Al-Shaibani, Fatima Al-Nuaimi, Mubarak Al-Malik, Mohammed Al-Hammadi, Maryam Al-Mulla, Nasser Al-Attiyah, Hilal Al-Jaafari, and Hanadi Al-Darwish.
